Life in the fast lane proved too much for one cuddly sloth... The animal stole hearts worldwide after police found it clinging on tight to a motorway central reservation crash barrier in Ecuador. But the thousands of drivers who stopped to take snaps of the adorable animal was nothing compared to the traffic the little fella caused online . After emergency services were called to rescue the smiley sloth last Friday, the Facebook post documenting the bizarre call-out has gone viral. And there was a happy ending. In an updated post, the Ecuador Highway Commission del Ecuador said the little animal had been returned to the wild after being "checked by a vet, who determined that it was in optimal conditions for return to its habitat". But it’s not the only creature to stop traffic in its tracks, as these pictures show...
