Set against a curtain of majestic Himalayan peaks wrapped in snow, the Sar Pass trek passes through some of the most scenic views ranging from forests to the meadows to the ice blankets. While trekking across the path from Tila Lotni to Biskeri Ridge, one has to pass by a small, usually frozen lake which means "Sar" in the local language of Himachal. Hence the name, Sar Pass! The trail passes through the thick forest and takes you to a winter wonderland that makes it fascinating. Sar Pass Trek Facts: 1. Start Point/End Point: Him Trek Kasol Base Camp. (2 km away from the Kasol Bus Stand) 2. Duration: 5D/4N 3. Maximum altitude: 13,800 ft. 4. Sar Pass Trek Distance: 48 Kms 5. Best Time for Sar Pass Trek: April to October. 6. Difficulty: Easy to Moderate Sar Pass tips: 1. Sar Pass trek can be done solo as well but prefer to do it with local group if you are nor experienced trekker. 2. Instead of booking it online through travel agencies, book it directly through local groups like HimTrek. 3.
