@How to Crochet a Simple Bikini Bottom
In this tutorial I am making a size small bikini bottom. Hook: http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/6yNjqZf Yarn: http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/Eme6eAM You need: 3.0 mm crochet hook/any hook size to obtain gauge. Cotton silk acrylic yarn(fine sport/light worsted)/any type of yarn you prefer (approx. 50-80 g). Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, dc. Make sure to check your gauge first 7 dc = 1.0 x 0.5 inch. ~ If you can’t understand any part of this pattern, please refer to the video tutorial ~ Abbreviation: Wrong side (WS), right side (RS), stitch (st), space (sp), next (nxt), 2 double crochet together decrease/increase (2dctog, dec/inc). Instructions: First ch 3 counts as first dc. Direction in parentheses are for (XS/S, S/M, M/L, L/XL). Foundation chain: Make a slip knot and ch (48, 52, 56, 60). Row 1(RS): 2dctog (dec) in the 4th and 5th ch from hook, (40, 44, 48, 52) dc across, 2dctog (dec) in the nxt 2 sts, dc in last st, turn. Row 2(WS) - (17, 18, 20, 21) : Ch 3, 2dctog (dec) in nxt 2 sts, dc across in each sts across until 3 sts remain, 2dctog (dec) in nxt 2 sts, dc in last st, turn. Now you have a total of (17, 18, 20, 21) rows of dec. Stop decreasing the sts on each side and continue with even number of dc on nxt (5, 7, 7, 9) rows. Row (18, 19, 21, 22) – (22, 25, 29, 32): Ch 3, dc in each sts across, turn. Total (12, 14, 14, 16) dc. Continue to expand your work for the back part by adding 1 dc on each side. Row (23, 26, 30, 33): Ch 3, 2 dc in nxt st, dc in each sts across until 2 sts remain, 2 dc in nxt st, dc in last st, turn. Row (24, 27, 31, 34) - (45, 53, 59, 65): Repeat previous row. Now you have a total of (23, 28, 32, 35) rows of inc. After the last row, do not cut off yarn. Continue to make the 1st string. Ch (100, 110, 120, 130), sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. Continue with the edging. *(Sc, ch 2, sc) in dc-space*, repeat *to* across. Continue to make the 2nd string. Ch (100, 110, 120, 130), sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. Continue with the edging. nxt st, (sc, ch 2, sc) in nxt st #. Repeat # across. Continue with the 3rd string. Ch (100, 110, 120, 130), sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. Continue with the edging. *(Sc, ch 2, sc) in dc-space*, repeat *to* across. Continue to make the last string. Ch (100, 110, 120, 130), sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. Continue with the edging. 1 st, (sc, ch 2, sc) in nxt st #. Repeat # across. Finally, sl st in nxt st, ch 1. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Insert the string in dc-space. And you’re done.
