The Honeymooners's video: OUR FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF DELHI IT S NOT WHAT YOU THINK INDIA

In this video we show our first impressions of Delhi as we travel with Erin's mother Sue. We arrived one day earlier than Sue so went to the trendy area of Hauz Khas in South Delhi. This was NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED when we arrived in Delhi! Everywhere outside of Old Delhi is so modern and well designed. It really does show you that India is rapidly moving away from the perception that it is a 3rd world country. On the other hand you have Old Delhi which includes Parahgunj - a popular area for tourists as it has so many shops, restaurants and very cheap accommodation options available everywhere you look! We picked up Sue from the Indira Ghandi airport at 6am and spend the entire day walking around Pahargunj main bazaar - the main street of Pahargunj and were all the action is! This is our adventure. In 2016 we travelled throughout South East Asia, and trekked all over the Himalayas of Nepal. We are newlyweds, happily married since June 2019, and are now living out our dream goal we have had since our last overseas trip, of travelling the world for an entire year on our honeymoon. The world we live in is so diverse and rich with culture, yet the more we travel and the more people we meet along the way, we realise that people share so many similarities no matter what their background is.
