The Hungry Hiker's video: DAY HIKING IN WASHINGTON STATE Green Lake via Carbon River Trail Mount Rainier National Park

@DAY HIKING IN WASHINGTON STATE | Green Lake via Carbon River Trail | Mount Rainier National Park
Go day hiking in Washington State to Green Lake via the Carbon River Trail in Mount Rainier National Park. This relatively easy 9.6-mile roundtrip hike will take you through the Northwest entrance of Mount Rainier National Park and along the Carbon River. This is an easy day hike that will take you through a forest full of tall, old, mossy trees. For the first three miles of the hike you’ll hike along the Carbon River Trail, a former forest service road that’s now only open to foot and bike traffic. After three miles, you’ll come across the sign for the Green Lake Trailhead. From the road, it’s a 1.8-mile hike up 1,500 feet to the lake. Check out Ranger Falls on your way up to the lake, which I highly recommend. This side trip is only 200 feet off of the main trail and it’s well worth it. This hike is a good one for families, anyone new to hiking, mountain bikers and anyone looking for a relatively easy hike that’s not covered in snow during the winter.
