BACKPACKING THE PACIFIC CREST TRAIL Section K | SOLO FEMALE TRAVEL | PCT 2021 // Ever wondered what backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington is like? In August 2021, I left to hike Section K along the PCT northbound (NoBo) solo, from Stevens Pass to Rainy Pass for 7 days. I parked my car at the trailhead at Stevens Pass and headed north on the Pacific Crest Trail, by myself with 6.5 days’ worth of food and all of the backpacking gear I’d need for my trip. Over the next 7 days and 127 miles, I’d hike and camp by myself along the PCT, heading towards the Stehekin Bakery and then ending my PCT section hike at Rainy Pass where my friends would pick me up. This is the vlog series of my PCT 2021 Section K solo 7-day hike. EPISODE 1: First day of my trip! This morning, I left my car at the trailhead at Stevens Pass, hopped on the PCT and started my 7-day section hike along the Pacific Crest Trail heading north for 18.2 miles. Along the way, I passed by Lake Valhalla, had lunch at Lake Janus, climbed up to Grizzly Peak and took in some incredible views along the way. I spent my first night on trail at Pear Lake, which was a pretty epic tentsite with a beautiful lake view and a privy! At camp, I met a couple PCT thru-hikers and was treated to some generosity from a couple of overnight backpackers who insisted on sharing their filtered water with me.
