BACKPACKING THE PACIFIC CREST TRAIL Section K | SOLO FEMALE TRAVEL | PCT 2021 // Ever wondered what backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington is like? In August 2021, I left to hike Section K along the PCT northbound (NoBo) solo, from Stevens Pass to Rainy Pass for 7 days. I parked my car at the trailhead at Stevens Pass and headed north on the Pacific Crest Trail, by myself with 6.5 days’ worth of food and all of the backpacking gear I’d need for my trip. Over the next 7 days and 127 miles, I’d hike and camp by myself along the PCT, heading towards the Stehekin Bakery and then ending my PCT section hike at Rainy Pass where my friends would pick me up. This is the vlog series of my PCT 2021 Section K solo 7-day hike. EPISODE 2: My second day out on trail! This morning, I started from Pear Lake and hiked 19.5 miles until I reached White Pass Camp, which was a 0.3-mile spur trail down and off the PCT. I ended up camping at this large tentsite all by myself and it was kind of freaky. During the day, I crossed over into the Glacier Peak Wilderness and hiked up and over quite a few beautiful passes including Saddle Gap, Dishpan Gap, Indian Pass and White Pass. I had lunch at Lake Sally Ann, where I met up with a few PCT thru-hikers I met earlier that morning. This section was incredibly beautiful and the weather was perfect.
