Hidden somewhere in the touristy circuits of Spiti Valley, the village of Gue has all the secrets to the history of the Indo-Tibet border and the trade that used to happen here till 2010. The village which is now coming up on the tourist map because of a 600-year-old mummy of a Tibetan Buddhist monk, is just 4 kilometres away from the Line of actual control or the Indo-Tibet Border, now controlled by the Chinese. So much so that, my phone caught some Chinese signals here. Gue village is close to Sumdo, which is the entry point to the Lahaul and Spiti district.
