We discussed how artillery was effectively deployed, the crucial role civilians played, the challenges of scaling the treacherous heights, and the heroic efforts that led to reclaiming mountain peaks from enemy forces. The annual program at the Drass War Memorial stands as a powerful reminder of the courage and resilience of our soldiers who fought 25 years ago on the snow-covered peaks of Ladakh.
