Pune Girl Attack: On the morning of June 27, a 21-year-old man attacked a 20-year-old college student in Pune’s Sadashiv Peth with a machete, allegedly because she had broken off their relationship due to his abusive behaviour. A few youngsters in the area caught the assailant at the time of the attack and handed him over to the police after thrashing him. The incident took place around 10 a.m. near the Perugate police chowky of Vishrambag police station and was caught on security cameras installed in the area.
