@TheIJC 2017: Printing speed constraints and improving image quality in real scanning printers
A presentation from TheIJC - the world's biggest event dedicated to inkjet engineering and inkjet chemistry. Our upcoming dates are: 12-13 April 2018, Chicago Book now at http://usa.theijc.com 15-17 October 2018, Düsseldorf Book now at http://theijc.com You can purchase all 2017 proceedings at http://www.esma.com/shop/theijc SUBSCRIBE TO THIS CHANNEL TO RECEIVE UPDATES ON THE NEXT PRESENTATION RELEASE Dr Fernando Rodriguez from Meteor Inkjet presents during The Inkjet Conference 2017 "From printing models to practical solutions: Understanding printing speed constraints and improving image quality in real scanning printers" Starting with an abstract concept of an ideal printing device, we will explore the effect of introducing real-world components into our ideal printer. We will look at how this forces us to make pragmatic design decisions and devise software and hardware techniques to compensate for the non-ideal behaviour of real printer components. To limit the scope of the presentation, we will concentrate on how the introduction of inkjet printheads as a means to generate an image constrains the printing speed, and, how limitations in the accuracy/repeatability of the transport system impairs image quality. We will quickly describe some software and hardware mitigation strategies to recover image quality.
