Hey Family! We explain in this story what had happened when our planned home birth didn't go exactly to plan! We prepared and planned lots for the birth of our first baby girl at home but we ended up being transferred to hospital due to meconium in my waters (amniotic fluid). Our midwife explained that it's very common with mature babies and our baby girl was born 41+6 weeks. We did notice some differences between the clinical team and the home birth team but regardless we are thrilled to have our beautiful baby girl with us! She was born sucking her thumb at a healthy 7lbs 1oz on the 23rd October 2020. We are so happy to be able to share this exciting chapter with you all.
