The Moscow Times's video: Russian Climate Activists Dance For The Environment The Moscow Times

@Russian Climate Activists ‘Dance’ For The Environment | The Moscow Times
On September 25th, climate activists from 154 countries participated in a global climate strike. In Russia, large-scale protests are illegal, so activists from the eco-organizations Fridays for Future and Greenpeace performed a 'dance protest.' Climate activists across 6 different cities and towns in Russia participated in a performance dance in an effort to raise awareness for Russia's environment. Russia is the world's fourth-largest emitter of greenhouse gases and is currently heating up 2.5 times faster than the rest of the world. Last month Russia also had the warmest September in recorded history, and a heatwave in Siberia this summer caused over 300 wildfires that covered an area larger than Greece and produced record CO2 emissions.
