The Oldskool Video Gamer's video: Barbarian Death Sword - 1st Ever Game Fatality On All Systems Feat Original C64 Soundtrack

@Barbarian/Death Sword - 1st Ever Game Fatality On All Systems (Feat.Original C64 Soundtrack)
Barbarian: The Ultimate Warrior (Palace Software, 1987) also know as Death Sword, featured an infamous spinning neck chop decapitation that was an instant fatality if it connected. Matches often revolved around trying to land or avoid this move with carefully placed dodges and strikes. As far as my knowledge goes it was the first gory move of it's kind in a one on one fighting game, it proceeded Midway's original Mortal Kombat by 5 years. This is all the original versions emulated including the unofficial ports, 11 in total. 1987 Commodore 64 (considered the best version) 1987 Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum 1988 Atari ST, Commodore Amiga, Acorn Electron, Acorn BBC Micro, Apple II, IBM-PC 1990 Commodore plus 4 (2 versions unofficial) 1993 Atari 800 (unofficial)
