In October/2019, a 16-member team of volunteer doctors and nurses from the USA and Palestine joined together under the leadership of pediatric cardiac surgeon Dr. Adil Husain to operate on sick children at the European Gaza Hospital. The team include long time PCRF volunteer pediatric cardiologist from Chicago Prof. Ra-id Abdulla, Florida pediatric cardiologist on his eight mission Dr. Jay Fricker, first time volunteer from Columbus, Ohio Dr. Omar Khaled, Palestinian anesthesiologists Dr. Hasan Ismail and Dr. Abdulhalim Abu Haltam, Surgeon Dr. David Brock, pediatric intensivists Dr. Minnette Son and Dr. Brandon Kirkland, cardiac nurse practitioner Cathy Woodward, Loma Linda perfusionist Kholoud Nassar, OR nurse Hayley Maires, and ICU nurses Cindy Eckhardt, Candice Hansen, Wendy Bowen, and Amy Martin.
