He kept repeating his old thoughts and recited an uninteresting poem. PM Modi is known for his great oratory skills but the spark he used to carry in his speeches, was missing in this Independence Day Speech. However, Chief Justice of India, Justice N V Ramana, while addressing the Supreme Court Bar members shared his concerns about the law-making process these days. He pointed out that the laws are being passed in the Parliament without proper discussion and scrutiny. He appealed to lawyers to contribute to the nation and participate in politics. He said there is no clarity of laws. We do not know what the purpose of the law is. It is a loss to the public. This is when lawyers and intellectuals are not in the houses.
