RHA managing director Rod McKenzie has spoken out on Germany's Tagesschau programme about the urgent need for the UK Government to take action and help alleviate the chaos at the UK's border with easements or other measures to help the flow of traffic until companies have had time to properly familiarise themselves with the new paperwork and customs requirements which came in after the end of the Brexit transition period. Businesses were unable to properly prepare before this, because the Government only released the systems for trial by businesses at the very end of December, leaving just a handful of days for businesses to get ready for the dramatic changes to processes.
