@'Yoga and the Covid crisis' - Sri M in Conversation with Lady Mohini Kent and Amish Tripathi
Sri M begins the conversation explaining about the concept of yoga which, he says, if one practises systematically, is a very scientific procedure to reach a certain point where the mind becomes absolutely free of distractions of any kind, which Patanjali describes as 'chitta vritti nirodha, the aim of yoga. This state leads one one to the state called Samadhi, which is an altered state of consciousness. He connects this explanation of yoga, not in anyway claiming it as a cure for Covid but bringing to light, how a peaceful and happy state of mind can be conducive to building immunity to the disease. As the conversation progresses he answers a few questions, giving suggestions for coping with the anxieties and despair faced by people due to the Covid pandemic. This online conversation took place on 3rd July 2020.
