Some believe it's fair for men and women to split things evenly, and some still believe a man should pay for everything, especially during courtship, to show he is serious about dating a woman or that he can provide. One woman posted her opinion to Twitter and received some backlash from people, after which her comment was also picked up by Derrick Jaxn, an author and influencer who frequently posts about dating and relationships. Many of his followers chimed in to disagree with the idea that women and men should split financial responsibility. Here's a link to his video: https://youtu.be/LrKkD6XcYuI A lot of the debate boils down to a question of option or obligation; the angriest of comments seemed to come from people eager to criticize men who expect women to pay for exactly half of everything, or those who take advantage of women who are willing to give. My argument here is that every relationship is different, and there is usually more that can be given than money. What do you think?
