The Crown of Leaves is the story of Roui, a Sahash citizen of the country of Shang-La who in the past had gone to college in the big city to learn how to be a jeweler. An uncertain failure in the past caused Roui to move back in with his awful aunt Brilla, her son Serban, and Roui's mom Emeral. A local baron hires Roui to make a bracelet for his bride-to-be, which can get Roui enough cash to get back out in the world. All that's the prologue for the game itself! This chapter specifically has the inciting incident of the arrival of Vander, Brilla's employee and emotional hanger-on. The Mad Rook, a fickle spirit of great power, has placed a cannibal plant in Vander's greenhouse. How Roui helps to deal with the plant determines the characters he meets, the things he has to do, and the adventures he goes on. Mysterious humans, zany Sahash, and powerful spirits called Tsourai await you in The Crown of Leaves.
