During a national search of thousands, sixteen self professed psychics earned their spot to compete on television. For the program, tests were carefully constructed by the production company to assure that the psychic challenges would assess supernatural abilities or disprove them. As each psychic is tested they are awarded points on their merits. At the end of every show the two psychics with the highest score move forward to continue in the competition, and the low scored contestants leave the series.
