Learn how to make oatmeal 3 different and delicious ways for a simple and quick breakfast. http://thesweetestjourney.com Peanut Butter & Jelly Oats Ingredients: 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats (40g) 3/4 cup Boiling Water (180ml) 3/4 Cup Blueberries (111g) 2 Tablespoons Water (30ml) 1 Tablespoon Honey or Maple Syrup (15ml) 1-2 Tablespoons Natural Creamy Peanut Butter (16-32g) 1 Ripe Banana, Sliced Directions: 1. In a bowl, add the oats and boiling water. Cover bowl and let the oats absorb the water, about 5-10 minutes. Set aside. 2. In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, 2 tablespoons of water, and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium low heat. Once the blueberries start to soften, mash some of the them with the back of a spoon. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture slightly thickens. 3. Top the oats with the blueberry "jelly", peanut butter, and banana. Carrot Cake Oats Ingredients: 1 Cup Milk or Milk Substitute (240ml) 1 Grated Carrot 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats (40g) 1 Tablespoon Honey or Maple Syrup (15ml) 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon (1.4g) Dash of Nutmeg 1 Tablespoon Almond Butter (16g) 1-2 Tablespoons Chopped Walnuts or Raisins (7-14g) Directions: 1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, carrot, oats, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir to combine, and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat. Once the oats and carrot start to soften, stir in the almond butter. Remove from heat. Serve topped with walnuts or raisins. Pear & Walnut Oats Ingredients: 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats (40g) 3/4 Cup Boiling Water (180ml) 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon (1.4g) 1 Tablespoon Honey or Maple Syrup (15ml) 1 Sliced Pear 1-2 Tablespoons Chopped Walnuts (7-14g) Almond or Peanut Butter Directions: 1. In a small bowl, combine the oats, boiling water, cinnamon, and honey. Cover bowl and let the oats absorb the water, about 5-10 minutes.
