The TENG Company's video: Xin Zao Beh Live from Heirlooms 2019

Xin Zao Beh was based on Hokkien Nanyin music. In our performance, the four plucked string instruments – supported by the keyboard and electronics in the background – alternate between coming together to play the melody and undertake brief, yet virtuosic solos. We utilise the timbre of these plucked string instruments to gift an impactful and punchy sound to the piece. The Ensemble's first music album titled Eight (Ba) was released in 2013.
