The first song, Lavender’s Blue, is an English folk song written in the 17th century. The second song is Bāng Chhun-hong (Longing for the Spring Breeze) is a Taiwanese Hokkien song composed by Teng Yu Hsien. The lyrics of Bāng Chhun-hong describes the heart fluttering as if it were a lute being strummed and this is brought to life when The TENG Ensemble’s pipa (Chinese lute) player accompanies the voice when the lyrics are being sung.
