Apple picking with the family the other day made me think. Looking for a home for your family can be like trying to find which type of apple you like best! All apples look similar but different types have different flavors. My kids love some and don't even want to see others. Houses can also be similar and yet very different. How do you know which one is best suited for your family? Unlike apples, you can't exactly taste every single home you like. One of the things I love most is helping families realize this. I ask them to do a list of the characteristics they like most for each home right after we see it. In the end, they can compare their apples. The one that ticks more boxes, the one that covers their needs most is... the one!
