Throwback to when we first moved our Type 59-II into our now completed 'Tanks in Popular Culture' exhibition. The Type-59 is a Chinese copy of the Soviet T-54/55 series. This particular one is a Type 59-II which features a copied version of the British 105mm L7 gun. Although the entire vehicle is copied, it's an interesting combination of what's essentially Soviet, British and Chinese engineering.
