Thumb Bros.'s video: Expert DKC Speed-Run 1 No Major Skips SwitchVC

Donkey Kong Country (SNES) is a grueling game to go for PB! (lol) This is also based on "real time" as opposed to "game clock" as we lost a minute or two doing our best to catch up on the chat-thanks to those who hung out with us! And we lost a minute or so with a couple of deaths. This was around the same game time as our NDR. Thumb Bros. Medley at the end! Thanks everyone for your support! No warps. No roll tricks/glitches as Diddy. A "normal" speed run, if anything. (lol) Only shortcut that was allowed, was the infamous, Snow Barrel Blast Also, we didn't use the skipping level celebrations, which also adds to time. We can eventually get to 55 minutes of real time, we feel! ___________________________________ The Timer on the left side of the screen was our practice PB. So the big timer on the bottom (above "No Reset") is the active timer. Any times in red, where we were behind. Green, is where we were ahead, and Gold, is our best time for that world. We didn't do it based on levels as yet, but on these 6 worlds, and King K. Rool: 1) Kongo Jungle 2) Monkey Mines 3) Vine Valley 4) Gorilla Glacier 5) Kremroc Industries Inc. 6) Chimp-Caverns 7) Gang-Plank Galleon _________________________________________ On the DKC Switch version, you can't do certain roll tricks as Diddy, as there's different versions, like the original 1.0 SNES version. Our goal is to get a sub 60 minutes in "real time" as our next Donkey Kong Country PB to post. We will like to watch some other speed runs, and see if we can pick up any time savers-be it Switch or SNES versions. (We will play on SNES one of these days!) This run was done with very little practice, and more on a whim, as we did this on Twitch, which will be more PB focused. We have a good amount of uploads to do on YT, and also some unique YT streams. But we will be doing most of our speedruns on Twitch.
