Thumb Bros.'s video: Can we claw our way through Hangar Contra Pacifist Ep 2

It’s not everyday you’ll see Contra Pacifist somewhere, let alone on Youtube! This is a project we’re very excited to learn from the ground up. Contra NES is one of our all time favorite NES games. For today’s stream, we’re going to playthrough Stage 1 (Jungle) and Stage 2 (Base 1), and then go back and forth a bit between Waterfall (Stage 3) and Hangar (Stage 7) Hangar and Alien’s Lair (Stage 8) are two of the toughest levels to learn in Contra Pacifist. Heart-break alley: the section past the last set of claws in Hangar, is super tough! While Alien’s Lair is seen as one of the easiest levels for the normal game-for Pacifist, it can be brutal! (lol) https://streamelements.com/thumbbros_runandpun/tip Some general rules of the Contra Pacifist run -3 lives (no Konami Code) -you can’t destroy enemies AND boss projectiles (Stage 4 boss, yikes!) Also, Stage 5 boss can be tricky too. Shrimp in Alien’s Lair. -you have to take deaths on the Snowfield tanks (those are the rules lol) -you can’t destroy weapon pods even if you don’t pick them up; weapon pods do increase your point score, which would make it easier to get an extra life -you can get a couple extra lives through high-score
