@India's Stern Reprimand As China Renames 30 Spots In Arunachal; 'Inventing Names Won't Change...'
India has strongly reacted to China's recent actions aimed at reinforcing its territorial claims over Arunachal Pradesh. Beijing escalated tensions by renaming 11 residential areas, 12 mountains, 4 rivers, one lake, and more within the region. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India, using visuals of Arunachal Pradesh in their response, dismissed China's efforts as a 'senseless attempt' and firmly stated that Arunachal Pradesh was, is, and will always remain an integral part of India. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu also vocally rejected China's attempts. Rijiju criticized China for illegally naming 30 places in Arunachal Pradesh, while CM Khandu dismissed the move as 'another gimmick from China' and rejected such antics outright. This firm stance from India came after the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson reiterated China's claim over the region during a press conference. New Delhi has maintained that despite Beijing's repeated baseless claims, Arunachal Pradesh will continue to be a part of India, highlighting the ongoing dispute and tension between the two countries over the territory.
