Train : 56002 Arakkonam Jn - Chennai Central Fast Passenger Loco : Arakkonam WAP4 56001 / 2 Fast Passenger was a daily service running once a day between Chennai and Arakkonam. The train departed Chennai at 13:10 Hrs in the afternoon and arrived at Arakkonam by 14:40 hrs. It had halts at Basin Bridge, Perambur, Villivakkam, and Tiruvallur enroute. On its return, the train departed Arakkonam at 23:00 hrs and arrived at Chennai by 00:30 hrs. Earlier, it used to depart Arakkonam by 22:40 hrs and arrive at Chennai by 23:50, which made it the last train to arrive into Chennai. The train was famous for being the train to trial new Royapuram WAP7 locomotives. Further, when the Zero Based Timetable was implemented, the train was permanently cancelled.
