Train : 14114 Dehradun - Subedarganj Sangam Link Express The Subedarganj-Dehradun Link Express is an Express train belonging to North Central Railway zone that runs between Subedarganj and Dehradun in India. It is currently being operated with 14113/14114 train numbers on a daily basis. It is called Link Express as it was earlier a link train of the Prayagraj - Meerut City Sangam Express. When the trains got upgraded to LHB, they got dedicated coaches and run as separate trains. The 14163 / 64 Prayagraj Junction–Meerut City Sangam Express is an Express train belonging to Indian Railways – North Central Railway zone that runs between Prayagraj Junction and Meerut City in India. It operates as train number 14163 from Prayagraj Junction to Meerut City and as train number 14164 in the reverse direction, serving the state of Uttar Pradesh. Dehradun Terminal railway station is a railway station in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, on the Northern line of the Northern Railway network. It is owned by Indian Railways. It was established in 1899 by the British. Several lines which run to and from the station include: Dehradun Jan Shatabdi Express, Dehradun Express, Prayagraj Link Express, Dehradun Shatabdi Express, Varanasi–Dehradun Express, Dehradun–Amritsar Express, Doon Express, Mussoorie Express, Kathgodam Express, Nanda Devi Express and Kochuveli–Dehradun Superfast Express. The station is the Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT), which is 4.5 kilometre from the bus stand and the main taxi stand. The nearest airport to the station is the Jolly Grant Airport, about 24 kilometers from the station. It is the last station on the Northern railway line in the area. The Haridwar–Dehradun line, which was the continuation of the branch line of Oudh and Rohilkhand Railway from Laksar on the main line to Haridwar, was opened in 1900. Dehradun was the terminus of this 77 km (48 mi) long line. The railway track between Haridwar and Dehradun was sanctioned on 18 November 1896. It was constructed between 1897 and 1899, and was opened for rail traffic on 1 March 1900. The construction of the railway station had a huge impact on the town of Dehra. Pensioners, European settlers and several other people were attracted to the town due to its pleasant climate. The railway line provided them easy connectivity to other parts of India. The railway line was also responsible for the steep increase in the export of rice, timber and limestone from the town. The Laksar–Dehradun line is a railway route on the Northern Railway zone of Indian Railways. This route plays an important role in rail transportation of Garhwal division of Uttarakhand state. The corridor passes through the Hilly Areas of Uttarakhand and some portion are near the bank of Ganges with a stretch of 79 km which connects Laksar Junction situates on Moradabad–Ambala line and Dehradun. It has a branch line which starts from Raiwala Junction and ends at Rishikesh with a stretch of 12 km. The line to Gangotri and Yamunotri, and to Badrinath and Kedarnath is being constructed from Yog Nagari Rishikesh. The electrification was done on dividing the three sections of this route, the first section is Laksar Junction–Haridwar, the second section is Haridwar–Dehradun and the third section is Raiwala–Rishikesh branch. The First section is electrified on 28 September 2015. The second section is electrified on 20 October 2016. And the third section was opened on 2018.
