CPD Seminar 1: Develop Resilience The Varsity Match will be hosting a series of CPD lunchtime seminars on matchday at Twickenham. These offer an insightful learning and networking platform where attendees can also enjoy the unique hospitality environment and atmosphere of The Varsity Match. Participants will gain 1.5 CPD points. Gain expert insight into how companies develop resilience in their organisation and processes. Hear how successful sports people have developed their own resilience to operate at the highest level in sport and in their careers. Karena Vleck will host a discussion between Dr Philip Stiles, Sue Day and Steph Cook. Karena Vleck played in the inaugural Women’s Varsity Match in 1988, and became general Counsel at the RFU. Dr Philip Stiles is Senior Lecturer at Judge Business School, Corporate Governance Co-Director, Centre for International Human Resource Management. Sue Day has 59 caps for England and played in three World Cups scoring 61 tries. She then became the first female president of Wasps Rugby Club, and is now Chief Financial Officer of the RFU. Dr Steph Cook won the gold medal in modern pentathlon at the Sydney Olympics after rowing at Cambridge, before completing her course in clinical medicine at Oxford. Steph is now a doctor.
