Tam Wrigley's video: LOUNGE ROOM MAKEOVER - HOW TO RENOVATE YOUR LOUNGE ON A BUDGET

Out of all the rooms in this home, I’d have to say that this room was the easiest to renovate. The issue in this room for me was it had been closed off from the rest of the house. When you walked into the home, there was a wall and a door that closed off the lounge room and kitchen area from the rest of the house. It was like two different segregated spaces under the one roof. My vision was to remove the door and open up the wall to create a better flow from the front door into the lounge room space. I am all about recycling and up-cycling where I can, so the doors that I remove from the lounge room are going to be used in different areas of the home. The ugly brown, faded timber shutters had to go as it was stopping all the beautiful natural light from coming through the windows. With minimal termite damage, this space was just in need of bringing up to date. A little freshen up or face lift. One big change I did was remove the french doors that where in the corner of this room as they really didn't lead anywhere. They were removed and the wall sheeted up. I did however kept the doors to use somewhere else in the house. So here it is, the main lounge room. Enjoy the renovation journey of giving this space a little sprucing up.
