The Woolpatch's video: Sew What Ep1 Opposites Right Sides Wrong Sides of Fabric - A conversational sewing podcast show

@Sew What | Ep1 Opposites & Right Sides, Wrong Sides of Fabric - A conversational sewing podcast show
Welcome to a new show 'Sew What?' a conversational sewing show with me, Stuart a beginner dressmaker and owner of @The Woolpatch and Carol Alayne, master tailor and couturier and @I Never Learned to Sew 'Sew What ?' will be a 30min to 1 hour long show that will cover all things home sewing and dressmaking. Many of you loved our discussions in our 'All Gathered Up' show, so we're back to do more of that! A much more informal style show but still filled with sewing talk. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Topics covered in this Episode: +Recognising pairs of mirrored shapes +Relationships in 2’s; sleeves, fronts, pockets, etc +If you don’t mirror in the making, you’ll have a problem! +Identical shapes, inverse relationships; right/wrong side, inside/outside, front/back, etc +How to tell the right side from the wrong side of fabric There were a couple of moments the internet connection became unstable and zoom lagged - hopefully this won't stop your enjoyment of the show ________________________________________________________________ Join in the show We have plans to talk about fabrics, tools and techniques over the coming weeks and this may change according to your involvement. What are you sewing? Do you have questions on something specific? Would you like some guidance on something you are doing for the first time? We would love to hear from you and we will add this to our conversation and see how it develops each week. Let us know in the comments of any of these videos and we'll discuss them the following week. We'd love to hear what you are making and how you are getting on. The beauty of this show is we are all learning together and we are all at different levels of skills. I'm very much a beginner dressmaker and Carol is an expert with a wealth of knowledge to impart, so hopefully there will be content for many of you out there no mater what skill level and experience. Come learn with us, or just have us on in the background whilst you're sewing! We'd love you to join us.
