Stellina is a 11 year-old girl, an orphan born and raised with the Panagulis Circus. She is a little rebel, an enterprising girl always surrounded by acrobats and clowns, and her best friend is a black panther. Stellina dreams to become an acrobat as her mother was, but when the autorities discover her irregular condition she is separated from the circus and put in an educational Institute. But Stellina doesn't like taking orders from everyone: she escapes, running away chased by police. During her adventure, she'll meet suspicious fellows and heartless bureaucrats, but also unexpected friends and Anna, a teacher who will take care of her. And when the past makes return, Stellina will face a wrenching choice. Stellina è un'orfana di 11 anni, nata e cresciuta con il Circo Panagulis. E' circondata da acrobati e pagliacci e la sua compagna di giochi è la pantera Gala. Intraprendente e un po' ribelle, da tutti amata e protetta. il suo sogno è di diventare un'acrobata come la madre, ma quando le istituzioni scoprono l'irregolarità della sua posizione, la separano dal Circo per mandarla in un orfanotrofio. Rifiutando ogni imposizione, Stellina fugge, invano inseguita dalla Polizia. Nel suo viaggio incontrerà loschi figuri e burocrati senza cuore, ma anche amici inaspettati e, soprattutto, Anna, una giovane insegnante che si prenderà cura di lei. Ma quando il passato farà ritorno, la bambina si troverà di fronte a una scelta lacerante...
