Join historian and former attorney, Thomas Borcher, for a video presentation that looks at our United States Constitution from the perspectives of the first and forty-first presidents -from George Washington to George H. W. Bush. Learn of the important compromises the founding fathers made in order to create a “more perfect union,” and that resulted in a document that is the oldest operating written constitution in the world today. We’ll take a look at how the Constitution structured the three branches of government. And, we’ll see how President George H. W. Bush handled his Executive Branch duties in keeping with the “rules” established when George Washington first held that office. Viewers at home or in classrooms will have opportunities to participate in various challenges as well as a role playing exercise.
