Some time ago, I had tried adding GameShark codes to Mednafen (PSX) and failed miserably... But with the help of catar4x from the PCSX2 forums, I managed! Now, thanks to gamemasterplc with his new batch of widescreen codes, and tapeq, for the excellent GTE Widescreen hack port into Mednafen (PSX), I can show Spyro 2 in glorious Ultrawide (overscan is cropped, so it's actually even wider XD)! Spyro 2 works amazingly well with all this hacking, in an emulator that doesn't allow much tweaking. Even though it's open source, aside from the separation of its PSX core and incorporation into Retroarch (named Beetle PSX on that), I haven't seem any major modifications to allow enhancements in Mednafen. The widescreen implementation from tapeq is great just by what it does, but going even further to make games run in ultrawide, makes me hope that people get more ideas into tweaking this emulator XD.
