It's Aspen Matthews, the main character in Michael Turner's fantastic comic book series : Fathom. It was my most popular drawing at the time. My friends requested prints, enlargements...I'll always remember one of my classmates' reaction. She just stood there wide-eyed, and blurted out "I'm feeling some kind of overwhelming respect for you right now!" I have the scary feeling that this old thing looks better than what I can do now (though the face is messed up). But it's probably because of the Michael Turner feel there is to it. The whole palette I created to colour the water was extensively used, but I eventually toned it down. So the colour variation for the water is almost invisible, but it's there. This whole series is merely a pretext for me to learn more about colouring.
