We are continuing with this series from Victoria, BC today we head to Victoria's China Town the Oldest China Town in Canada. A trip through Chinatown is like a walk through an open air museum. The entrance to Victoria's Chinatown is dominated by the Lion and Dragon welcome gate know as the gate of Harmonious interest. Today barely covering two blocks the area is filled with the smells of roasting spices, burning incense and the sounds of languages and cultures mixing around little ships and restaurants. One of the Highlights of Victoria's Chinatown is Fan Tan Alley. Once the home of brothels, opium den's, and gambling halls. It is now filled with little shops and its shady history is nowhere to be seen Michelle and I stop for Lunch at our favorite Dim Sum restaurant Don Mee's .
