@S1H Series : Ep 2 : Blue Mountains vlog 4k shot with Panasonic 24-105mm
Join us on our journey to the Blue Mountains with the Panasonic S1H and the 24-105mm. The Panasonic 24-105mm and S1H is such a versatile combo! It's sharp, has nice bokeh, and it's an amazing story telling lens. It can be wide at 24mm, but then super 35 at 105 is equivalent to over 150mm telephoto with no loss of quality at all. PLUS, it has macro (close-up) capabilities! I tried to show as many diverse shots as I could in the time I had. Plus of course the awesome IBIS plus lens stabilisation. Works a treat! So stable! It looks great at 105mm f4 full frame. I made sure to put a couple of shots in there of Lyla at 105mm. Most shots in 4k. Some in 5.9k and some 4k super 35. We tested out v-log internal hand held shooting and vlogging on a rainy and cloudy evening in the Blue Mountains just outside of Sydney Australia. Shooting conditions were not ideal, so I was actually worried that all the shots would be unusable, but the v-log is pretty darn flexible!! With some extra love and grading it came together better than I expected! (Disclaimer though : the rain did make me rush all the shots - so who knows how much better it could have been) I metered each shot at 0 ev using the S1H normal auto exposure, then locked off the iso once I was happy. I did something similar for focus. I had it on manual focus but used one shot auto focus until I was happy then hit record. Most shots were shot at iso 640 or just above whenever possible, but there were some darker locations! Especially as the day got later and later. We got out of there with JUST enough light actually! Edited and graded in Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 Using my own v-log to rec 709 LUT, which is up to version 6 now! It started off based off the normal 'Nicest 709' and tweaked it to be more friendly straight away. (Let me know if you want it) Plus also some extra split toning tweaks to the grade on top. Just subtly though, hopefully, no crazy grading this time. Gear used: S1H Panasonic 24-105mm Tiffen Black Pro Mist 1/8 Music : Artlist.io
