One take stream of conciousness. I thought about not even uploading this one but hell.... its therapeutic so why not. It's important stuff to share I think. So to hell with it. For this shot I made and used a 'basic skin' tone lut I made from watching another youtuber who does lightroom tutes called 'how to edit like...' named Tone Fuentes @ToneFuentesENG Basically i just used his example on camera calibration to make my skin punchier. Then do the rest of the tweaks in Adobe Premiere Lumetri myself. Then I made lut using that IWLTBAP LUT Generator software. (as lumetri doesnt have camera calibration) So thanks for that Tone! Other than that, it's pretty basic, I just filmed with pp off on my Sony a7iv but tweaked it in camera. The highlights are down, saturation slightly down, shadows up slightly, sharpness nearly all the way down and clarity to 0. I even put sharpening on -15 in lumetri to make it even softer. It's 4k so that setting works! I wouldn't recommend doing that if you shoot HD . But then I'd also recommend never shooting in HD on the Sony mirrorless cameras at all anyway. It really does suck. Other tech things are. Shot on Sony 24-105mm (yes the one I dropped) with K&F Circular Polarizer. (No diffusion) Rode VideoMic Go ii A 1m by 2m white collapsible bounce sheet from godox I think, just gripped to my tripod. Shot in the shade at a custom white balance using the waveforms on my smallhd 7 inch (by focusing on that same white sheet) . But then the sun went away lol. I didn't want to use auto white like I normally do. At least now you can see why I use auto white. And then lock it off using a short cut - for ceremonies outside especially. Do that and also lock auto exp if you use that. Oh, I forgot to mention I'd been watching the crown on netflix. I had it in my continue watching list (that list is huuuuge) but after the Queen died, I finally decided to pick it up again. (I've watched all the cool stuff like stranger things etc already) And one episode really struck me. Well they all did especially 'Aberfan' omg. But the latest one I watched was called 'Moondust', where Prince Philip is going through a mid life crisis. It made me think... when does this start ? Cos I feel all those things already lol. Next vid will be a proper serious one. HLG luts, and then it's back to goofing off again. PS. If i made rant/discussion vids on modern hollywood movies would you guys watch that? It'd have to be a separate channel as not to offend people lol. You can tell my political leanings already yeah? With a channel name like 'The Jaded Film Maker' this name is growing on me more and more. I'm so blackpilled on all the crap thats been going on in my industry. No music for this one. I tried putting some artlist cinematic music over it and it reminded me of the goodies hahahaha do you remember Tim Brooke Taylor would do a rant and Graeme would play the english god save our queen music in the background 😅.
