We stayed at the Deer Park Inn for 1 night and it was completely worth it! I would highly recommend this experience if you have a night to spare in Nara. You could even go out for dinner if you REALLY want to, you just have to brave the 20 minute walk in the dark surrounded by the ferocious rusk-hungry deer.
