One of the minority of preserved railways focusing on daylight services, rather than night time illuminations, the Somerset & Dorset Railway fronted two locomotives in order to deliver their 'Santa Specials'. Based at Midsomer Norton on the route of the original Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway, the Somerset & Dorset Railway operated four return trips along the length of the line. All services featured top-and-tail running, with a mix of steam and diesel traction; the former provided by 7109 "Joyce", and the latter by Class 03 Shunter - D2128, with the pair tackling the 1-in-53 gradient towards Chilcompton. Locomotives: Ex-Croydon Gasworks Sentinel - 7109 "Joyce" BR Class 03 - D2128 All footage filmed on Saturday the 19th of December 2020.
