Beyonce got candid in a recent interview and the Beyhive is shook. Beyonce has been dominating the music industry for longer than some of us have been alive and she doesn’t seem to miss a beat. Even in her Destiny’s Child days, the group went on to release some of the biggest iconic songs that we still love to karaoke to. She’s the definition of what it means to have determination and her work ethic is simply unmatched. But with that being said, working so hard for so long can take a toll on you. In a recent interview for the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Beyonce opened up about how the industry has affected her over the years. She’s been working for nearly her entire life and while it obviously seemed to pay off from how much she’s accomplished, there’s a lot she had to sacrifice and give up to get to where she is. While a lot of us were able to hang out with our friends or party, Beyonce was in rehearsals, in the recording studio, doing live performances and touring. And that probably doesn’t cover all the responsibilities she’s had as an artist, actress, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Not to mention that the physical and mental demands of a career like hers couldn’t have been all that healthy for her. But as she’s turning 40 this year, she’s stepping into a new chapter of her life and we can’t wait to see what’s next for her. What did you think of Beyonce’s journey?
