First Snow is artistic visual novel with the music sounding like something out off Coffee Talk (relaxed, laidback and NICE), a winter setting and a story based around a college student life. It certainly tries to paint a picture! To me it works quite well as the way the text flows slowly but looks the part. The storyline setups straightforward enough no jumping through hoops about "where's the parents?!" Anime's do that wayyyy too often and it can be quite tedious. For a first impression I got nothing bad to say. It surprised me in a way as the story made something that's usually boring quite interesting.
