First Drive of Mercedes-Benz India EQB and GLB. What's your pick - Petrol, Diesel or Electric? The recent @MercedesBenz EQB and GLB drive by @MercedesBenzInd marked many firsts under its name: The first time a car manufacturer did a drive of a vehicle launching in all possible powertrains - Petrol, Diesel and Electric. Also, the first time a carmaker did a drive of an EV (electric vehicle) at more than 2,133 meters above sea level in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. This meant setting up multiple EV charging solutions for the entire EQB fleet to be charged each night for the next batch. Shot extensive B-rolls of both GLB and EQB in all colours at the same location in different weather conditions so that the media could focus on the drive and not worry about the shooting. The biggest of all was bringing the entire range of Mercedes-Benz SUV lineup comprising a dozen SUVs, including the G-Wagen. Fun Fact: Mercedes Benz India has the largest SUV lineup compared to any car maker in India. Lastly, planned a relaxing day after the drive for the media to recuperate, followed by an afternoon flight to reach home, all relaxed.
