The Wind Element by TVQS A performance titled the “Five Elements Movement – Healing Art”, created by The Very Quiet Studio~ TVQS. The performance is a collaborative creative work of Asian artistic and cultural heritage that places healing and resilience at the centre of its artistic expression. The creation “Five Elements Movement” is based on similar philosophies in Buddhism & Hinduism on how we view our material world. It is in the balance of the Five Elements “Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Space” that we maintain health, internally and externally. The collaboration is based on original written work by a local Buddhist Chinese expressed through Indian Classical artforms in the Hindu tradition, Raga and Bharatanatyam. The music arrangement is done by a Roman Catholic from Indonesia. Translations of the poem, in Malay, English and Tamil, are done by our brothers & sisters from Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. The “Wind element” an extract from the whole movement, recited by Vocalist Mr Yang Fan with dancers Ms Ruby Jayaseelan and Ms Kalpana Sivan at Inaugural International Conference on Cohesive Societies 19-21 June 2019 organized by RSIS, supported by MCCY.
