Monastik stopped by the studio for a cool 1.5 hour LIVE techno set. Absolutely GOATED and unbelievable. 👉 Monastik is a live improvised experience that interprets Techno and Body Music styles, leveraging samplers, drum machines and loopers to create a raw, driving, and unique experience in real time. Born as Allan Hanely in 1982, he is responsible for brands such as Turtilian and Parts Project which both lean heavily on bass music styles. Monastik has grown out of a renewed love for the freeform behavior of Techno and a different set of rules that seem to encourage improvisation. It is an effort to harness the energy that comes from taking risk, being one with the moment, and interacting with the crowd on a micro level. Monastik currently resides in Montreal and is always working on his craft and cultivating the constantly changing and evolving live set.
