The Kern River Canyon is a canyon in Kern County, California. It is located in the Southern Sierra Nevada. The canyon was formed by the Kern River, and connects the Kern River Valley and southern San Joaquin Valley. Silver City Ghost Town is an open-air museum located in Bodfish, California featuring old historic houses. There are about 20 different western-style buildings preserved at the Silver City Ghost Town from the local area and all are at least 100 years old. Lake Isabella (formerly, Isabella) is a census-designated place (CDP) in the southern Sierra Nevada, in Kern County, California, United States.
