BEACHES IN MALIBU With 21 miles of coastline, much of which is viewable as you travel along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), Malibu has many beautiful beaches. In addition to public access ways to many of the private beaches, there are several popular public beaches owned and operated by the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors or California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks): Topanga State Beach - Located along PCH at Topanga Canyon Blvd Malibu Lagoon State Beach - Located where Malibu Creek meets the ocean, just west of the Malibu Pier, including: The Adamson House and Malibu Lagoon Museum, a National Historical Site and registered California Landmark, is located here The Malibu Pier and Adamson House are owned by State Parks Malibu Surfrider Beach - Located along the 23000 block of PCH. Surfrider is the first World Surfing Reserve (dedicated in 2010) and the location of the world famous Malibu Pier. Owned and managed by State Parks. sunlight Dan Blocker Beach - A Los Angeles County beach located between Puerco Canyon and Corral Canyon along PCH Big Dume State Beach - A State Parks-operated beach accessed from Cliffside Drive Point Dume State Beach - Accessed from Westward Beach Rd; parking is fee-based; a State-owned beach, operated by Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors Westward Beach - Also known as "Free Zuma;" limited street parking available Zuma Beach - Entrance is located just west of Heathercliff Dr; plenty of fee-based parking available; the largest beach in Malibu, owned and operated by County Beaches and Harbors La Piedra Beach - One of the Robert H.
